Transformer Winding Facilities
Bowers Electricals Ltd Transformer winding facilities include the ability to produce transformer coils to more or less any design required. All our design work being carried out by our own engineering design team.
Our skilled HV and LV winding teams have many years of experience and have the manufacturing skill to produce windings of all configurations, ranging from large Power Transformers down to the smallest of Distribution Units.

Transformer Windings are generally produced using traditional strip winding methods, but we also have two foil winding machines. Many of our Distribution Transformers are produced using the foil winding technique which helps keep the cost of manufacture low, due to the reduced winding time.
We have seen over recent years, a decline in available skilled winding facilities in the UK and Europe. Bowers' prides itself on maintaining the winding skills necessary to produce our range of Transformers and because we have these skills and facilities available, we can manufacture highly specialised and bespoke transformers, as well as standard products on much shorter lead times than many of our competitors.
